From Scarcity to Abundance: My Ongoing Journey of Growth

I used to believe that everything was limited.


Time. Money. Opportunities. Love. Joy.


I thought you had to fight for your place at the table, that if someone else succeeded, it somehow meant there would be less for me. I lived in survival mode, constantly looking over my shoulder, afraid to dream too big because it felt like dreaming was for other people—people with more resources, more support, more luck.


The truth? I didn’t grow up hearing words like “abundance.” I didn’t know that mindset mattered more than circumstances. I didn’t realize that my thoughts could be my prison—or my breakthrough.


But here I am now, slowly learning that abundance isn’t just about money or stuff. It’s a way of thinking, living, and believing that there is more than enough—for me, for you, for all of us.


And I’m still learning.


This isn’t a story with a neat, polished ending. This is the middle of my journey—a testimony in the making. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that growth is messy, but it’s also beautiful.


The Scarcity Years


Scarcity thinking shows up in sneaky ways.


It’s the voice that says:


“You can’t afford to rest.”

“You’re behind.”

“You’re not good enough to do that.”

“No one will help you.”

“It’s too late for you.”


I used to believe those lies. I stayed in relationships too long, worked jobs that drained me, and said “yes” when I really wanted to say “no” because I thought I had to. I thought if I didn’t accept the crumbs, I’d get nothing.


I budgeted in fear, dreamed in limitation, and constantly waited for the other shoe to drop.


Even when blessings came, I would self-sabotage or shrink myself, afraid they would disappear. I didn’t know how to receive. I didn’t believe I was worthy of more.


That’s what scarcity does. It convinces you that you’re stuck, and that there’s no way out.


The Moment Everything Shifted


There wasn’t one big moment. No lightning bolt. No lottery ticket. No fairy tale.


There were just quiet moments of awareness… and decision.


A book. A prayer. A conversation. A breakdown that led to a breakthrough.


I started noticing that some people—despite challenges—lived from a place of peace, generosity, and joy. They gave without fear. They celebrated others without comparison. They showed up fully, knowing they were already enough.


I wanted that. Deeply.


So I started doing the work. Slowly. Clumsily. But consistently.


The Work of Growing Into Abundance


Personal growth isn’t glamorous. It’s not just vision boards and affirmations. It’s soul work.


Here’s what it looked like for me (and still does):


Changing how I talk to myself. I had to stop speaking lack over my life. No more “I can’t afford that.” I replaced it with: “How can I afford it?” or “It’s not in my budget yet, but it’s coming.”

Gratitude—even when it was hard. I started finding abundance in small things. A warm cup of coffee. A kind message. My child’s laughter. Gratitude began to shift my perspective.

Setting boundaries. I realized scarcity kept me overcommitted and exhausted. Abundance taught me that saying “no” protects my “yes.”

Investing in myself. I stopped waiting for permission. I took courses, went to therapy, read, prayed, and connected with women who challenged and inspired me.

Rewriting my story. Scarcity said I had to repeat my past. Abundance says I can rewrite the narrative. I don’t have to be who I used to be.

Trusting God. Abundance isn’t just mindset—it’s rooted in faith. I started to believe that God is not limited. His resources, grace, and favor are unlimited—and I am His daughter.


Still Becoming


I wish I could say I’ve mastered it. But I haven’t.


There are still days when scarcity creeps in, whispering that I’m not doing enough, not earning enough, not moving fast enough. But now I know how to quiet that voice.


Now I remind myself that I don’t have to compete—what’s for me will find me.


I don’t have to hustle for worthiness—I already have it.


I don’t have to fear the future—I’m being led by purpose.


I still have a long way to go. I’m still learning, healing, building. But my life looks and feels different because of the mindset shift from lack to limitless.

Refocusing on What Truly Matters

 It’s been a while since I’ve shared my thoughts here, and honestly, that pause was needed. Life has a way of pulling us in so many directions, and sometimes, we have to step back and refocus on what truly matters.


In the past few months, I’ve found myself in a deep season of reflection—one that has pushed me to let go of distractions, realign with my purpose, and trust that God is working behind the scenes, even when I don’t have all the answers. It’s easy to get caught up in the noise of life, chasing goals, and constantly moving forward, but what happens when we just pause?

One of the biggest blessings during this time of reflection has been the completion of my new book, The Radiance Within. This book isn’t just something I wrote—it’s something I lived. It’s a story of resilience, faith, and growth. A journey through struggles, setbacks, and the unwavering belief that no matter what we go through, we have the power to rewrite our own story.

Remembering My Beloved Grandmother; A Tribute to Love and Loss

Losing the person I loved most, my grandmother Mama Luisa, has been the most difficult and painful experience of my life. Every day feels like a struggle without her presence, her smile, and her comforting words. The void left by her absence seems impossible to fill, and the ache in my heart seems never-ending.

She was not just a grandmother to me; she was my rock, my mom, and my best friend. She was the one I turned to in times of joy and sorrow, the one who always knew just what to say to make everything better. Her wisdom and love were a guiding light in my life, and without her, I feel lost and adrift.

But in the midst of my grief and pain, I find solace in the belief that with God, all things are possible. I know that she's watching over me from above, guiding me and protecting me in ways I cannot see. I trust that she is in a better place, free from pain and suffering, and that one day, we will be reunited in the eternal embrace of heaven.

Through my faith and trust in God, I find strength to carry on, to face each day with courage and hope. I know that Mama Luisa
would want me to live my life to the fullest, to cherish the memories we shared, and to honor her legacy of love and grace. And so I strive to do just that, to live each day with gratitude for the time we had together and with faith that we will be together again someday.

Prayer Changes Things: Always Believe the Impossible

In the midst of life's challenges, it's easy to become overwhelmed and discouraged. Sometimes, circumstances can leave us feeling powerless and depressed. However, during these times, it is crucial to remember the power of prayer and the importance of unwavering faith. I want to share my personal journey of finding hope and strength through prayer, especially during this difficult season with my beloved grandmother. 

Let me tell you that praying is powerful, and praying is not just a religious ritual as most think, but a powerful means of communication with God. It is a profound act of faith, humility, and surrender. When we pray, we acknowledge that there is a force greater than ourselves, ready to guide and support us through life's ups and downs. Prayer provides solace, peace, and clarity in times of confusion, and it can transform our perspective on any situation.

Lately, I have been grappling with a deep sense of sadness and depression due to the deteriorating health of my grandmother. Witnessing a loved one's decline can be emotionally draining, and it is natural to feel overwhelmed by the circumstances. However, it is during these difficult times that turning to prayer becomes even more essential.

While it is normal to experience moments of doubt and despair, trusting in God's plan can help us find solace and strength. Prayer allows us to surrender our worries and burdens, knowing that God is listening and working behind the scenes. It is through prayer that we open ourselves to divine intervention, miracles, and the fulfillment of seemingly impossible dreams.

Believing for the impossible. When we believe for the impossible, we tap into the limitless potential that lies within us. Rather than allowing despair to consume us, let us choose to believe that our circumstances can change, that healing is possible, and that miracles can happen. Prayer is our tool to manifest these impossible dreams into reality.

In the midst of my grandmother's illness, prayer has become my refuge, my source of hope and strength. From manifesting my dreams to cherishing my loved ones, and my appreciation for the incredible journey I have experienced.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of this year was the realization of my long-cherished dreams. Through unwavering determination and the power of manifestation, I had the incredible opportunity to write my books. The feeling of pouring my thoughts and stories onto paper was beyond words. It is a true testament to the power of believing in oneself and taking those brave steps towards our aspirations.

Another dream that materialized in 2023 was the chance to explore the mesmerizing streets of this beautiful country. The vibrant culture, ancient ruins, and culinary delights left an indelible mark on my soul. The memories made while savoring authentic Italian cuisine and witnessing breathtaking landscapes will forever be etched in my heart.

 I made the conscious decision to adopt a vegetarian lifestyle and prioritize my health. This transformative choice allowed me to nourish my body with wholesome, plant-based foods. The increase in energy, mental clarity, and overall vitality I experienced was truly remarkable. The gratitude I feel for this shift in my life is immeasurable, knowing that I am taking care of myself in the best possible way.

 I also found solace in reconnecting with my spirituality. By placing God at the center of my life and deepening my prayer practice, I discovered a profound sense of peace and guidance. The beauty of this journey is that it is ongoing, and each day brings new revelations and blessings. I am grateful for the spiritual growth and the constant reminder that I am never alone.

In the midst of all our accomplishments and personal growth, it is the presence of loved ones that truly makes life meaningful.
